Refunds and Cancellation

This policy applies to paid services and commercial licences from Specmatics Technologies Pvt Ltd. Our open-source products are free, and nothing here applies to them.

Consulting and review engagements

Before work begins. Cancel at any time before we start and you get a full refund of anything paid.

After work begins. You may cancel at any time. We will invoice for work completed to that point and refund the balance, and you will receive whatever is finished.

If you are not satisfied with the deliverable. Tell us within 14 days of receiving it and explain what fell short. We would rather fix it than keep money for work that missed the mark: we will either redo the part in question at no charge, or refund the fee for it. Which of those applies is your choice, not ours.

Commercial software licences

Within 14 days of purchase, a licence may be cancelled for a full refund for any reason, provided it has not been deployed to a production system.

After 14 days, licence fees are non-refundable for the remainder of the period purchased, because a licence key cannot be recalled once issued. You keep the software for the period you paid for.

Renewals. Annual licences do not auto-renew silently. We will contact you before the renewal date. If a renewal is charged in error, tell us within 30 days and we will refund it in full.

Perpetual fallback. Where a product offers it, stopping payment does not remove your right to keep using the last version your licence covered.

How to request a refund

Contact us with your invoice reference and what you would like to happen. We will respond within 5 working days. Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method, typically within 7–10 working days depending on your bank.

Taxes

Where tax was collected, it is refunded along with the fee.
